Not every player needs the same thing.
That is why Hoops College is built around placement, not guesswork. Every player enters through evaluation and is placed in the program that best fits their current level of development.
Everyone enters the same way.
The truth is that age alone does not tell you what a player actually needs. Some younger players are more advanced. Some older players need more foundation. That is why every player starts with evaluation.
Step 1: Evaluate
We assess skill level, feel for the game, coachability, habits, and what the player actually needs right now.
Step 2: Place
We place the player in the program that best fits their current level of development.
Step 3: Develop
Once placement is right, the work becomes more focused, more efficient, and more likely to lead to real growth.
Four levels. One real system.
Hoops College Foundations
This is where players build the base they should have had all along.
Foundations is for players who are new to the game, still learning the basics, or too weak in key areas to benefit from more advanced training yet. That can mean a younger player who is just getting started, or it can mean an older player who needs to go back and build things the right way.
The focus here is on real fundamentals: footwork, balance, coordination, ball handling, passing, finishing, shooting, basic defense, and learning how to practice the right way.
Foundations: Build the base.
Hoops College Development
This is where players stop just going through the motions and start developing with purpose.
Development is for players who understand the game better and have some tools, but are still too inconsistent. Maybe they have flashes. Maybe they can do certain things well. The problem is that they do not do enough of those things often enough, and they still need more structure, detail, and accountability.
The focus here is on turning basic skills into game skills, improving decision-making, tightening habits, and getting more out of every rep.
Development: Turn ability into consistency.
Hoops College Performance
This is for players who are serious and trying to separate.
Performance is for players who want a bigger role, more minutes, better production, and a stronger impact on the game. These players are usually past the beginning stages, but they still need the right environment if they want to keep climbing.
The focus here is on game-speed skill work, consistency, shot quality, reads, competitive reps, and learning how to perform under pressure.
Performance: Separate yourself.
Hoops College Elite
This is for high-level players with high-level commitment.
Elite is for players who have already proven a lot and are still hungry for more. This should be invite-only or application-based. Not because we are trying to be fake exclusive, but because this level should mean something.
The focus here is on advanced development, stronger accountability, higher-level demands, and the kind of work serious players need if they want to maximize their opportunities.
Elite: Maximize your level.
Placement is not about labeling a player. It is about being honest about where they are right now and putting them where they can benefit the most.
How Hoops College thinks about growthWhy this structure matters
- It gives players a better fit from the start.
- It reduces wasted time and bad placement.
- It creates a real path for progression.
- It gives parents clearer expectations.
What this means for you
- You do not get placed by age alone.
- You get placed by where you are now and what you need next.
- If you keep developing, you can move up.
- The goal is not ego. The goal is growth.
If you want the right fit,
start with evaluation.
